Protests are pathetic
Sit-ins, cry-ins and therapy dogs to help high school and college students deal with Hillary Clinton losing the election? Give me a break.
I’m writing this on Veterans Day, when we remember the young soldiers who chose to forego college to fight fascism in World War II and died at Normandy and in other fierce battles. We also remember the veterans of all wars.
My cousin, Herschel Bowers, died over Germany when his B-17 was shot down in 1944. My great-great grandfather fought during the entire Civil War to free slaves. My wife and I lost our son when he was killed in an auto accident. He did not participate in sit-ins or cry-ins. He was working two jobs while attending college.
These protests are pathetic, being put on by pampered and immature individuals who will not receive the “free stuff” promised by Clinton. Individuals have the right to protest, and I have the right to disagree.
Find a way to serve your community and country in a way that is more positive. Don’t let a loss defeat you.
