Burglary charges: John R. Stage, 46, of 260 W. High St., Waynesburg, was charged by Waynesburg police with burglary, criminal trespass, defiant trespass, criminal mischief, two counts of disorderly conduct and public drunkenness in connection with a Sept. 16 incident on High Street in the borough. Police said six witnesses told them Stage got in a fight that night at 291 E. High St. and had barged into an apartment at 285 E. High St. and struck Travis Barlow on the head. Police said Stage then allegedly ran up and down High Street punching and kicking vehicles and ripped wires out from under the hood of a vehicle belonging to Sandy Crawford. According to court documents, another man then chased Stage away with a crowbar.
