Police seek man who robbed Interstate Foodland

State police are looking for an armed man who robbed Interstate Foodland in Canton Township Monday night.

Police said a white man entered the grocery store at 7:50 p.m. and approached a teenage cashier. The man wielded a knife and demanded money. The suspect removed money for the cash register and exited the store through its front door.

Police said the man was seen on foot heading west on Route 40.

The suspect was described as being between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing cuffed blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt, a black Carhartt-brand knit hat and black tennis shoes.
