Contraband charges: Tonya Jean Demaske, a 33-year-old inmate at the Greene County jail, was charged by state police with possession of contraband, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance following an incident at the jail Dec. 29. Police said the jail staff learned that narcotics were used by women in the jail. Demaske was taken to the medical examination room, where she allegedly was found to have a plastic bag with 17 pills and a few pieces of chipped pills. Police said Demaske told them the pills were Subutex and Seroquel.
Theft charges: Ladonna Lynn Lingenfield, 31, of an unknown address, was charged by state police with 14 counts of theft, 14 counts of receiving stolen property and eight counts of forgery following incidents in August. Police said Lingenfield was caught on surveillance video cashing checks that did not belong to her at Walmart and Giant Eagle in Franklin Township and at Walmart in Washington. Police said Lingenfield allegedly stole the checkbook belonging to Paul Ordnoff and cashed checks totaling $1,205 between Aug. 22 and 31. Ordnoff told police that Lingenfield used to do work around his house for him. Police said Lingenfield signed Ordnoff’s name on the checks and used his driver’s license number.
