Greene Co. offering series of craft classes
WAYNESBURG – The Greene County Department of Recreation is offering a series of craft classes with a different project each week, including two “Mommy and Me” activities.
All classes will be held at the Greene County Fairgrounds, and the cost of materials and supplies are included in the registration fee. Participants must register and pay for each class a week in advance unless otherwise noted.
The class schedule is:
• Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. – No Sew Sock Snowman, ages 8 and up, $20 per person.
• Jan. 22 at 2 p.m. – Snowman Mason Jar Candle Holder, ages 9 and up, $20 per person.
• Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. – Wintry Heart Wreath, ages 18 and up, $35 per person.
• Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. – “Mommy and Me” Valentine Heart String Art, ages 3 and up, $20 per couple.
• March 12 at 2 p.m. – Spring Topiary Tree, ages 18 and up, $20 per person. Registration deadline is Feb. 26.
• March 19 at 4 p.m. – Spring Wood Painting, ages 8 and up, $35 per person.
• March 26 at 2 p.m. – “Mommy and Me” Popsicle Easter Basket, ages 3 and up, $20 per couple.
Additional classes include women’s self-defense, a six-week course on Sundays beginning Feb. 19, and essential oil classes on Thursdays, beginning Feb. 23. Advance registration is required for both classes.
The Ladies’ Day Vendor series will be held Wednesdays and Sundays, beginning Feb. 19. The show is free to the public, and consists of six to eight vendors at each show.
Classes may be canceled due to lack of participation or inclement weather. Announcements will be made on WANB Radio and the Greene County Commissioners Facebook page.
