Best of luck to Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves in a familiar spot today.
They are in the AFC Championship Game for the 16th time since 1971. The last time they came this close to the Super Bowl was in 2011, when they defeated the New York Jets at Heinz Field. However, once they were in the Super Bowl two weeks later, the Steelers were defeated by the Green Bay Packers. There could be a rematch this year, since the Packers are competing against the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC Championship Game today.
The Steelers are up against the New England Patriots, a familiar nemesis. The Patriots had their way with the Steelers in the 2002 and 2005 AFC title games, and most of the oddsmakers say the Patriots and their 14-2 record will triumph again in this matchup.
We can hope the oddsmakers are wrong. Best of luck to the Steelers today.
