School bus crash: A Southeastern Greene school bus carrying 21 students was struck by a car Wednesday morning in Dunkard Township, state police said. A car driven by Steven W. Schoppert, 17, of Maidsville, W.Va., crashed into the rear bumper of the bus on Bobtown Road at Holbert Stretch about 7:35 a.m., police said. Schoppert was uninjured in the crash, along with 20 students on the bus. However, one student complained of shoulder pain and was checked by the school nurse, police said.

Rock strikes another vehicle on I-79: For the second time in as many nights, an object was thrown from an overpass on Interstate 79 near the Ruff Creek exit and struck a vehicle. State police said rocks were thrown from the overpass near the 18-mile marker about 8:20 p.m. Wednesday and hit the truck driven by Antonio R. Aguilar of Weston, W.Va. Police said Aguilar’s truck was damaged, but did not indicate if he was injured. Less than 24 hours earlier, someone threw a rock from an overpass in that area, striking the vehicle driven Adam Harlow of Morgantown, W.Va., who suffered a broken right arm. Anyone with information is asked to contact state police at the Waynesburg barracks at 724-627-6151.

Theft: George Palliden Lewis, 44, of 362 Ullery Road, Carmichaels, was charged by the state Attorney General’s office with access device fraud and two counts of theft for an incident that happened between April and May last year. Investigators said Lewis, who was fired from SecTek Security in February 2016, allegedly used the company’s gas card several times in April and May, after he was fired. Investigators said he used it 14 times in Waynesburg, Carmichaels and Donegal that totaled $424 in charges. Lewis told investigators his supervisor gave him permission to use the card as restitution for lost wages and for using his personal vehicle for company work, but the supervisor denied ever giving Lewis permission.
