KITTANNING – Peters Township rattled off 10 consecutive wins after falling behind early to defeat Armstrong, 57-17, in the preliminary round of the WPIAL Class AAA wrestling team tournament Monday night.

Pins by Ogden Atwood and Mike Cornman at 220 pounds and heavyweight, respectively, gave Armstrong an early 12-3 lead.

But Peters Township (10-5) dominated the match from there, getting pins from Bryce Wilkes, Will Kail, Jordan Marosz, Colton Jezioro, Brandon Matthews, Luke Mary and Jake Hurley to pull away.

The Indians advance to face host North Allegheny Wednesday in a WPIAL quarterfinal match.
