Warrant arrest: Dennis David Kosmer, 49, of Pittsburgh, was taken into custody Saturday by Canonsburg police on an Allegheny County bench warrant during a traffic stop at East Pike Street and Greenside Avenue. Borough police also will charge him with having an open containing of alcohol and possession of paraphernalia. He was placed in Washington County jail.

Marijuana charge: Michael J. Gasper, 22, of 317 Hawthorne St., Canonsburg, will be charged by Canonsburg police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and a traffic violation stemming from a traffic stop Saturday on West Pike Street.

Opener stolen: Holly Sobiech of 136 John Drive told Canonsburg police a garage door opener was stolen from her husband’s vehicle.

Damage reported: Kade Koss of 551 Ridge Road, Centerville, told state police Friday the porch light and siding of his home were damaged by vandals. Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 724-929-6262.

Bad check alleged: Jonathan Vance Guydan, 33, of 145 Route 837, Carroll Township, is charged by Charleroi Regional police with forgery, theft and bad checks over accusations he paid for $703 in merchandise on a closed bank account about 4:20 p.m. Dec. 20 at 2nd Time, 615 McKean Ave., court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges in a summons Monday.

Theft allegations: Brenda Newman, 54, of 632 Lincoln Ave., and Wanetta Scagline, 55, of 916 McKean Ave., both of Charleroi, are each charged by Charleroi Regional police with theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy over allegations they stole two televisions from Yaseen Ali of 832 Crest Ave. Rear, Jan. 16 and 19, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges Monday.

Decking stolen: A representative of Mesa Wood of Washington told Chartiers police Jan. 24 steel decking valued at $400 was stolen from a construction site at 827 Longview Drive.

Threats, endangerment charges: Edward Vincent Blackburn III, 23, of 30 Lincoln St., Cokeburg, was arrested Friday night by state police on charges of terroristic threats, endangering the welfare of children, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Police said he allegedly threatened his girlfriend, punched her in the stomach and dragged her down steps by her hair as she held their 1-year-old son. Blackburn was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Assault alleged: Carla Jean Bane, 55, of 1 Stage St., Clarksville, was arrested Friday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment. She is accused of assaulting a 56-year-old man at her East Bethlehem home after the two reportedly got into an argument. The alleged victim told police she punched him three times. Bane was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and released.

Son arrested: Michael J. Lowther, 27, of 9-A Redwood Drive, Ellsworth, was arrested early Monday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment. He is accused of striking his father during a confrontation at Lowther’s home. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Threats alleged: Justin W. Nicholson, 31, of 28 Homestead Drive, Avella, was arrested Monday on a warrant obtained earlier in the day from District Judge David Mark on charges of terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct. He is accused of getting into an argument with his estranged wife Sunday. He allegedly grabbed her by the throat and threatened her, police said. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Arraigned on warrant: Heather Ann Dillon, 39, of Imperial, was arraigned Friday on a warrant obtained by state police on a charge of theft. She is accused of taking $60 from a confidential informant in McDonald in February 2015 for narcotic pills. She allegedly told the informant she would be back with the pills but never returned. She was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and released on her own recognizance.

Burglary, loitering charges: Joseph George Cochran, 23, of Oakdale, was arrested early Sunday by Mt. Pleasant police on charges of burglary, possession of marijuana and paraphernalia, loitering and prowling at night, driving under the influence of alcohol and having no taillights. Cochran was spotted by police pulling into a driveway on Fort Cherry Road. He was then seen trying to get into a house in the 300 block of Fort Cherry Road, police said. After telling police he stopped to check his tires, he allegedly admitted to police he was trying to get inside the residence. He was arraigned before District Judge James Ellis and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.

Truck overturns: Two people escaped injury when the truck they were in slid off Route 136 near Lanik Road at 2:40 a.m. Saturday and flipped, state police said. Valerie Yilit, 24, of Finleyville, was driving east when the crash occurred. She and a passenger, Michael Boyd, 25, of Finleyville, were not hurt.

Warrant obtained: McDonald police have obtained an arrest warrant for Ronald J. Grimes, 37, of 6053 Maple Grove Road, Bulger, on charges of simple assault, flight to avoid apprehension and harassment. He is accused of assaulting his girlfriend during a confrontation at their Robinson home Saturday night. He was gone when police arrived, and when he was contacted by police, Grime reportedly said he was in Ohio and had no plans to return.

Disorderly charge: Luke Joseph Burning Breast, 33, of Parmalee, S.D., was charged early Sunday by McDonald police with disorderly conduct after police were called to the 1000 block of North Branch Road, Robinson, for a report of a vehicle crash. He reportedly told police he was joy-riding in a truck driven by another man when the vehicle got stuck. The driver fled.

Cocaine possession alleged: Washington police charged Paul Phasupong, 36, of 940 E. Maiden St., by summons Monday with drug and paraphernalia possession. The charges stem from a Jan. 21 stop of a vehicle in which Phasupong was a passenger. A small jewelry box was allegedly found on the seat where he was sitting, and a black case containing a hypodermic syringe was allegedly found under the same seat.

Drug charges: Frederick D. Owens, 23, of 301 Locust St., was charged by summons Monday with possession with intent to distribute, drug possession and a traffic violation. Officers allegedly found a total of 53 bricks stamp bags of heroin in the waistband and leg of Owens’ pants during a Jan. 23 traffic stop on Tyler Avenue.

Bogus deal: Noah Scholato of 1381 Allison Ave. told Washington police Saturday he sold a Dell laptop computer, but the Paypal account used by the buyer was bogus. Police told him to go to the post office in an attempt to stop the shipment.

Tires damaged: Sarah Dane of Washington told Washington police Saturday both back tires on her vehicle were punctured while it was parked near Beech Street and Hallam Avenue.

Card stolen: Christopher Titchen of 550 Broad St. told Washington police Saturday his prepaid debit card was stolen and used to make purchases of $14 and $220 in the Washington area.

iPhone stolen: Monserrant Lopez-Padilla of Washington told Washington police Friday his iPhone was stolen from a bookbag at Washington Hospital.
