Trump story was fake news
The Feb. 16 front-page story by the Associated Press, “Crisis taking toll on White House,” is one of the worst examples of fake news I have seen.
As President Trump said at his press conference last week, “Regardless of what you (the press) say, we are running a well-oiled machine.” The story about Russia is fake. The story about former national security adviser Gen. Michael Flynn breaking the law is fake. But the story about classified or confidential information being leaked to the press is a criminal act by the deep state or former President Obama’s shadow government that is not being reported.
The illusion of resistance to Trump at town hall meetings by Republican congressmen is being reported as if the resistance is coming from Trump supporters. Trump’s approval rating is rising.
Then you ran a column by Kathleen Parker on the editorial page. Parker claims to be a conservative Republican, but she trashes Trump better than the mainstream media does. With friends like that who needs enemies.
It is time to move on. Hillary Clinton lost fair and square because she was a lousy candidate and America voted for Trump and his Cabinet and Supreme Court picks. The establishment of both parties and the media need to let the elected administration do its job. They need finally to follow the wish of the American people and get out of the way, stop obstructing Trump, and even offer some support and help.
President Obama was allowed to pursue his promise of “hope and change” until it became “change and destruction” and a failed presidency. That is why we have Trump.
