A Smith Township woman faces several drug charges after township police said they found suspected narcotics and paraphernalia when called to her home early Saturday for a domestic dispute.

Megan M. Revay, 29, of 124 Eleanor St., Langeloth, will be charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police were called to her home about 12:10 a.m. for a disturbance involving family members who were arguing about the alleged theft of money from the grandmother. The caller also told the 911 dispatcher that she found needles and drug paraphernalia in his sister’s purse.

Revay told officers that her grandmother called and told police someone was stealing money and medication from her home. Revay also told police her brother grabbed her purse and ran upstairs to a bedroom. Police said he reportedly found paraphernalia in the purse.

The brother brought the purse back to the kitchen. Revay told police there were no drugs or paraphernalia in it, but an officer said he spotted a prescription bottle with another woman’s name on it. Revay reportedly told police she takes the same form of medication and did not see a problem with having someone else’s medication.

Revay went through her purse and wallet for police, who said a syringe and glass pipe were found in the purse, and heroin was found in the wallet.

Revay was placed in Washington County jail on a probation violation. She will be arraigned later before District Judge Gary Havelka on the drug charges.
