Ann Rebich of Cokeburg will celebrate her 99th birthday today.

Mrs. Rebich was born February 14, 1918, in Lincoln Hill, a daughter of the late Ann and Nick Zinko.

In 1939, she married Miller “Jake” Rebich, who died in 1993.

Mrs. Rebich has two daughters, Paulette Tansill of Baltimore and Madeline Bambarger of Cokeburg, and a son, Michael Rebich of Bentleyville.

A lifelong homemaker, Mrs. Rebich has always been an excellent cook, baker and seamstress. She worked briefly at the Century Inn in Scenery Hill.

Mrs. Rebich and her husband were avid bowlers and did almost everything together.

They also were charter members of the Croatian Fraternal Union, which began in the house where Mrs. Rebich has lived for the past 70 years. She and her husband, who played tamburitzan music, did much to advance the Croatian culture and heritage in the local area.
