Ruff Creek recycling center to get upgrades

WAYNESBURG – Greene County commissioners approved three bids Thursday to reconstruct its recycling drop-off facility near Ruff Creek.

The project will cost $36,370 to upgrade the drop-off center on the Greene Arc site at 197 Dunns Station Road in Washington Township.

Elisha Construction of Belle Vernon was the successful bidder on the first two projects, which include lighting upgrades and construction of a platform and stairs. The county will pay Elisha $7,565 for the lighting portion of the project and $11,905 for the platform and stairs.

Meanwhile, Jay D. Enterprises of Waynesburg was the low bidder to construct a concrete ramp and pad at that site. The company will be paid $16,900 to perform the work.
