Cecil Township supervisors accepted the solicitor’s resignation and replaced him with another attorney Monday.
The township’s new solicitor is the Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky of Pittsburgh, with Gretchen Moore as the representative to the township.
Christopher Voltz, an attorney with Tucker Arensberg, submitted a letter of resignation to the township prior to the monthly meeting.
TOwnship manager Donald Gennuso said the township paid Voltz an hourly fee of $155. It will pay Moore $175 an hour.
Supervisors appointed Moore in a 4-1 vote, with Cindy Fisher dissenting. Supervisors Chairman Thomas Casciola, Vice Chairman Eric Sivavec, Elizabeth Cowden and Frank Egizio voted in favor of the appointment.
