Fish fries
Daisytown Community Center, 3 Main St. – 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays, March 17 through April 14. There will be fish dinners and fish sandwiches. Fish dinners will consist of three pieces of whiting fish, fries, coleslaw and dessert for $10. Fish sandwich is $7 and includes two pieces of whiting fish. Drinks will be available for purchase. Mt. Pleasant Township Volunteer Fire Company and ladies auxiliary, 106 Main St., Hickory – 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ash Wednesday and Fridays, March 3 through Good Friday. Menu includes hand-breaded fish sandwich, chicken strips, shrimp, french fries, coleslaw, chicken strip and shrimp dinners. All dinners include french fries and coleslaw. St. Patrick Parish, Canonsburg – 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays, March 3 through April 7. Lunch menu includes fried fish sandwich, soup and sides. Dinner menu includes baked or fried fish, shrimp or seafood platter. Homemade sides include stewed tomatoes, macaroni and cheese, haluski and pierogies. Trinity Church, 605 Hewitt Ave., Washington – 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every Friday through April 7. Menu includes fish sandwich, pierogies, cabbage and noodles, clam chowder, coleslaw, french fries, macaroni and cheese, potato pancakes, drinks, dessert, coffee and hot tea. Stations of the Cross will be held at 7:30 p.m. every Friday during Lent. Call 724-225-3401 for delivery only. There is a $40 minimum for local businesses.
