Ortitay plans two-part small business development seminar

State Rep. Jason Ortitay, R-South Fayette Township, today announced the Small Business Development Center at University of Pittsburgh will offer a two-part seminar at the South Fayette Municipal Building for those interested in starting a small business.

The first seminar is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday and will focus on the mechanics of starting a small business, including exploring the size of the market, marketing tools needed to attract customers, helpful resources and funding options. The second segment is set for 9 to 11 a.m. March 22. It will provide information on developing a business plan, including operational and production planning, market research and financial spreadsheets.
