State police have filed a theft charge against a West Virginia man who allegedly failed to return money after a Meadows Casino employee told him he’d been overpaid.

Travis T. Bui, 42, of Parkersburg, was charged Wednesday with theft of property lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake. Police said surveillance footage shows a cage attendant paid $3,600 to Bui on March 29, 2015. Another employee subsequently contacted Bui, who allegedly said he didn’t have money to give the casino and didn’t plan to return to the North Strabane Township venue.

A state trooper wrote in court papers that Bui hadn’t responded to messages the trooper left on his phone and to a letter the trooper sent to him.
