Assault arrest: Frank Joseph Colbert, 45, of 811 Wood St., Centerville, was arraigned Tuesday on a warrant obtained by state police charging him with simple assault and harassment. He is accused of pushing a 41-year-old woman to the floor and striking her head against the floor several times during a confrontation at their home. Police said he fled before officers arrived, and the alleged victim went to her mother’s home and was planning to take herself to the hospital. Colbert was later arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond. He will have a preliminary hearing before District Judge Joshua Kanalis.

Charges filed: Police filed two sets of charges Tuesday against William Pearson, 28, of 452 Reed Ave., in connection with two incidents earlier this year at Kare 4 My Kid, a business on Reed Avenue. An arrest warrant was issued by Judge Joseph Dalfonso on charges of burglary and criminal trespass stemming from an incident Jan. 19 in which a man was seen on surveillance smashing the front window of the store and climbing inside. Dalfonso also issued a summons against Pearson on charges of simple assault and criminal trespass that stem from a Feb. 6 incident in which the business’s owner said he tried to eject Pearson from his store before they exchanged words. Pearson allegedly struck him, and a fight ensued.

Vehicle damaged: Randall DiGiandomeni of 811 Allison Ave. told Washington police Tuesday that the rear passenger door of his vehicle was kicked in by a vandal while the vehicle was parked in front of his home.
