A Burgettstown man was arrested Monday morning by McDonald police after he allegedly verbally and physically confronted his former girlfriend while she was working at a fast-food restaurant in the borough.

Police were called to McDonald’s, 1412 Main St., Burgettstown, about 8:30 a.m. for a report of a disorderly man who would not leave and was making threats.

Police said Timothy Melvin Miller, 37, of 155 McCracken Hill Road, fled before they arrived. The alleged victim told police the two ended their four-year relationship last week. She said Miller, at that time, grabbed her neck when she told him she wanted to break up.

The former girlfriend was taking out the trash at the restaurant when Miller allegedly confronted her. She told police he grabbed her arm and yelled at her. She said she told him it was not the time or place.

The alleged victim went back inside the restaurant and continued working. Miller reportedly came into the restaurant and started yelling profanities while customers were present. The alleged victim walked to the food-preparation area in an attempt to get away, but Miller allegedly went behind the counter without permission and continued yelling. He also allegedly grabbed her arm a second time.

Miller reportedly got back in his vehicle, drove to the first drive-through window and told an employee to get his former girlfriend. When she refused to come to the window, he allegedly went to the second drive-through window and yelled at another employee, “I’m going to kill her.”

Miller’s vehicle was found in a nearby parking lot, and he was taken into custody. Miller was arraigned before District Judge Gary Havelka on charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment and possession of paraphernalia. He was released from Washington County jail after posting $10,000 bond. Miller is scheduled for a Feb. 23 hearing before Havelka.
