California police are looking for information about who fired shots early Saturday near Fourth and Green streets.

At about 12:18 a.m., a borough police officer was in that area when gunshots were heard. Several witnesses called 911 and confirmed hearing gunfire. Other people who were in the area also reported hearing multiple shots being fired.

Police said many witnesses also told them a black Dodge sedan may have been involved and the shooter was firing from the car. The shooter is reportedly a black man wearing a white hooded sweatshirt.

Chief Rick Encapera said Sunday police are still sorting through statements from witnesses.

Anyone with information or knowledge of this incident is to call 911 or the police station at 724-938-3233.
