Washington Salvation Army, 60 E. Maiden St., Washington, will hold a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday. Dinner will include spaghetti, grean beans and a drink for $10. Proceeds benefit the youth program. Takeout will be available. Call 724-225-5740, ext. 113.

Martha Washington Garden Club will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Laboratory Presbyterian Church, 33 Manse St., Washington. Carol Chernega, a Phipps Garden Center consultant, will discuss how to create an English garden in Pennsylvania. A light lunch will preceed the meeting.

Book and Gift Sale will be held from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and March 24 in the community room at Washington Hospital. Sponsored by the Washington Hospital Auxiliary. Payroll deduction is available for Washington Health System employees. Proceeds benefit Washington Health System.

Monongahela Area Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the parlor room at First Presbyterian Church, 609 Chess St., Monongahela. Larry Gallant, a member of the Heinz History Center’s speakers’ team, will discuss the “Ancient Mysteries of Southwestern Pennsylvania.”

West Finley Cemetery will hold its annual cleanup day at 10 a.m. March 25. All decorations must be removed by March 24. For more information, call 724-222-7973.

Managing Your Diabetes will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 4, 5 and 6 in the Education Conference Center at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Topics include the importance of controlling blood sugars, diabetes medications, lifestyle changes, meal planning and methods to reduce the risk of complications. John Wesley United Methodist Church, 35 Central Ave., Washington, will hold “It Takes a Community to Raise a Roof” from 4 to 6:30 p.m. April 1. The event includes a full-course dinner provided by Julian’s, music and a silent auction. Keynote speaker will be state Rep. Brandon Neuman, D-North Strabane. Tickets are $40 per person or $320 for a table of eight, and will be available until March 28.

Center in the Woods is taking orders for Easter pies and breads until March 31. Pies are $9 each, nut logs are $12 and nine-inch round loaves of bread are $5.50. There are 12 types of pies, including no-sugar apple. Delivery is scheduled for April 13. To place orders, call 724-938-3554.
