Heritage library hosts Narcan training

The McDonald Police Department and Heritage Public Library will present Narcan and Overdose Prevention Training at 6 p.m. March 24 at the library, 52 Fourth St., McDonald.

The free training for Washington County residents will include:

• Ways to reduce the risk of an accidental overdose.

• How to identify symptoms of an overdose.

• What to do and not to do when a person overdoses.

• How to administer Narcan.

A limited amount of Narcan will be available to participants to take home.
