Reconstruction of a bridge on Route 18 spanning Browns Creek in Morris Township near Nineveh is expected to begin Monday and will continue until mid-September.

The project is part of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project of structurally deficient bridges.

An alternating traffic pattern will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.

The weather may change the work schedule.

This bridge in Greene County is referred to as JV-505 and is one of 558 bridges being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. JV references the joint-venture partnership between Walsh/Granite, which is leading construction for the entire project.

The Rapid Bridge Replacement Project is a public-private partnership between PennDOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners under which PWKP will finance, design, replace and maintain the bridges for 25 years.
