Crown Center to host Farming, Fun Days

Washington County Farming and Fun Days will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at Washington Crown Center.

At 11 a.m. Saturday, sheep sheering by Brinton Bedillion will begin in the Macy’s wing, and apple pies will be received at the Wasihngton County Cattlemen’s booth.

Other events, all being held in the Macy’s wing include:

• The Wild World of Animals – 2 p.m.

• Coloring Contest winners announced – 4 p.m.

• Apple Pie Auction – 6 p.m. Proceeds benefit the Washington County Cattlemen’s Association’s Advanced Education Support Grant.

Entertainment will be provided by Zach Martin & The Fugitives at 7:30 p.m. Friday, and there will be square dancing and line dancing with Dave Dahl at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

In addition, there will be 4-H clubs, businesses and agencies with displays.

There also will be a food drive to benefit the Greater Washington County Food Bank. Items will be collected in the antique manure spreader being displayed by Nick Weaver and members of the National Pike Steam, Gas and Horse Association.
