Houston woman dies after 2015 car crash
A Houston woman died Friday after she was injured in a car crash on Christmas night in 2015.
Corey Mitchell, 22, who lived at 228 Parker St., was a passenger in a car driven by a 17-year-old Houston teen, when the accident occurred around 9 p.m. on Route 519, near the ATI Allegheny Ludlum plant. Police said the teenager was driving northbound when he lost control, and the vehicle hit a utility pole near the entrance to ATI, flipped and ended up on its roof.
Mitchell was thrown from the vehicle, while the driver was trapped inside.
