Two people were taken to hospitals following a two-vehicle crash Saturday on Route 21 in Franklin Township.

State police reported about 2 p.m., an eastbound motorist applied the brake while approaching traffic, went into a counter-clockwise spin, crossed into the westbound lane and struck the front of a vehicle with the passenger side. Police did not identify the operators.

They said the driver who lost control of the vehicle was ejected from it and flown to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. The other operator, they said, was taken to WHS-Greene by Southwest EMS. Their conditions were unknown.
