Betty J. Areford Osso, 80, of Evergreen, Colo., formerly of Greene County, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, in Life Care Center of Evergreen.
She was born Tuesday, August 9, 1932, in Wadestown, W.Va., a daughter of the late Frank and Della Clovis Areford.
Mrs. Osso was Roman Catholic.
She had worked in management within retail industries.
On June 5, 1952, she married Nicholas A. Osso, who died April 16, 1995.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Thomas N. (Diane) Osso of Golden, Colo.; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Linda Hess and Willa Jo Neely; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where a prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Waynesburg, with Father Richard J. Thompson as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery, Waynesburg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Mt.
