Brownsville Fire Company 1, 520 Market St., is conducting its annual fund drive.

Donations are being sought to support fire and rescue services, all provided by local volunteers.

As it marks its 107th year, the department has 30 active members, 15 on inactive status and several junior firefighters. Last year, the fire company responded to more than 250 emergencies.

This year’s proceeds will be used to upgrade equipment and buy firefighting gear and training.
