Bentleyville Area Historical Society is seeking photos of old homesteads for its 2018 calendar. The towns and surrounding areas included are Bentleyville, Ellsworth, Cokeburg, Somerset Township and North Bethlehem Township. Jefferson United Methodist Church, 190 N. Washington St., will hold a roast pork dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Jefferson Community Center. Menu includes scalloped potatoes, lima beans, carrots, pickled beets, coleslaw, rolls, desserts and beverage. Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Takeout will be available.

Greater Waynesburg Christian Outreach will hold a School Clothes Distribution from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 26 at First Baptist Church, Waynesburg. The distribution will feature free gently-used clothing and new items at extreme discounts. Doors open at 8:30 for registration. Proof of income is not necessary. Free haircuts also will be available.
Woodville Plantation, Bridgeville, will present Digging Up Woodville’s Past from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 27. Explore artifacts recovered from archaeological digs at Woodville. Archaeologist Nina Schreiner will lead talks at 1:30 and 3 p.m. Docent-led tours of the house will be available throughout the day. Admission is $5.
