Police Beat Aug. 8
Car stolen: State police said a 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada was stolen from a Morley Road home in Dunkard Township between 1:30 a.m. Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday.
Gas theft: A man driving an older model, boxy-style, brown sedan pumped $38.02 worth of gasoline into his vehicle about 11 a.m. Friday at the Marathon gas station, 1550 E. High St. in Franklin Township and left without paying, state police said.
Minor crash: No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at 3:51 p.m. Sunday on the Interstate 79 off ramp at Route 21, state police said. Police said Bethany McCollum, 22, of Waynesburg, was pulling out from the intersection when her vehicle struck the rear of the vehicle in front of it driven by John W. Eddy, 61, of Fairmont, W.Va.
Theft: The driver’s side window was smashed on a vehicle parked at Aleppo Road and Route 18 in Jackson Township between July 27 and 28 and the wallet inside of a 21-year-old Waynesburg man was stolen, state police said.
Burglary: A garage at the Washington Road residence of Dustin L. Wren in Washington Township was broken into between June 11 and Saturday, state police. Tools were stolen.
