Vehicle overturns: State police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that was found overturned on Interstate 70 about 7 a.m. Monday. The driver fled. Police contacted the owner of the vehicle, who said it had been taken by a man known only as “O.” A white LG cellphone was found at the scene.

Account accessed: Jay Rosser of Meadow Lands told Chartiers police Friday unauthorized transactions were made on his bank account at a location in the state of California.

Package stolen: Noel Perchinsky reported to state police a package was stolen Aug. 21 from her home at 57 Franklin St.

Assault arrest: Veeresammy Perumal, 56, of 820 Jane Ave., Charleroi, was arrested early Tuesday by Donora police on charges of simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted a woman during an argument over money in a personal care home the two own at 785 Linden Way. The alleged victim, Jennifer Succuro, was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital for treatment. Police said Perumal was found passed out in his office. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

False alarm charge: Erik Alderman, 46, of 940 Broad St., Washington, was charged last week by North Strabane police with creating a false alarm after he allegedly pulled an alarm box at The Meadows Casino Aug. 19. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Drug charges: Jackie Lynn Shirley, 51, of 12 Nichols Lane, Eighty Four, was charged last week by state police with disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia stemming from a July 26 traffic stop in the 1400 block of Route 519, North Strabane. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Two face charges: Tina Marie Lash, 19, and Celeste J. Lloyd, 24, both of 922 Fifth St., Charleroi, were charged this week by Rostraver police with possession of heroin, cocaine and paraphernalia stemming from an Aug. 23 incident at Kmart, 780 Rostraver Road. Lash also will be charged with having a prohibited offensive weapon. The charges will be filed at the office of District Judge Charles Christner.

DUI, drug charges: Scott M. Jupin, 29, of 620 Hill St., Belle Vernon, was charged this week by Rostraver police with driving under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana and paraphernalia stemming from an Aug. 5 incident on Route 51. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge Charles Christner.

Theft charge: Leigh Ann Cecchine, 42, of 450 E. Prospect Ave., Washington, was charged last week by South Strabane police with retail theft after she allegedly stole items valued at $270.33 from Walmart, Trinity Point, Aug. 8. The charge was sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.

Theft reported: Brian Filipowski of Washington told Washington police a 120-foot power cord and 20-foot welding lead were stolen from his truck Monday while it was parked outside 60 S. Main St.

Faces charges: Ashley Loar, 27, of 836 1/2 Duncan Ave., will be charged by Washington police with possession of heroin, crack and paraphernalia after the items allegedly were found at her home while she was being served with an adult probation warrant Monday. She was put in Washington County jail on the warrant.

Gate damaged: William K. Grooms, 56, of Waynesburg, faces a charge of criminal mischief after state police said he damaged the exit gate at Four Seasons Resort with his vehicle Saturday night.
