Theft: State police said someone stole the license plate from a vehicle that was parked along Bald Hill Church Road on Wednesday. Police said a 44-year-old Dunkard Township woman parked her vehicle there because she had a flat tire. When she returned, her license plate was gone.

Vehicle struck: No injuries were reported in a Thursday evening incident on Interstate 79 north in which a tire struck a vehicle’s windshield. State police said Gerald T. Griffith, 36, of Uniontown, was exiting the highway at the Waynesburg interchange when a rear tire on his van dislodged and struck the windshield of a Jeep driven by Martin A. Parente, 64, of Blawnox. Griffith was cited for tires that were not in operable condition.
