Assault arrest: Christopher Michael Dolan, 31, of 664 Western Ave., Chartiers, was arrested Tuesday night by township police on charges of simple assault and harassment. He is accused of tackling a woman after an argument, causing her to hit her head and face off the living room floor at his home. He was arraigned before District Judge Traci McDonald and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.

Transmission line damaged: A representative of Duquesne Light told state police this week an electric transmission line in a cornfield near the intersection of Rea and Beech Knob roads, Cross Creek, was damaged between May 1 and Aug. 15. Police said a reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Brendan Weaver at 724-223-5200.

Husband, wife charged: Marianna Boris, 37, and James Brian Boris, 43, both of 57 Kelley Lane, Hickory, were charged by Mt. Pleasant police with simple assault and harassment stemming from a confrontation at their home early Sunday. He allegedly punched her in the right eye, and she allegedly would not let him leave and scratched him. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.

Driver injured: Donald G. Klanchar, 56, of 7 Oak Lane, Eighty Four, suffered a hand injury Tuesday morning when his station wagon was hit by an oncoming car, flipping it onto its roof in the 900 block of Linden Road, North Strabane police said. Nicole Elizabeth Vollmer, 27, of 2040 Majestic Drive, Canonsburg, was driving south when she allegedly crossed into the northbound lanes, hitting Klanchar’s vehicle. Klanchar was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.

Building damaged: The building that formerly housed Car Express, 260 Murtland Ave., was damaged by vandals, South Strabane police said. The damage, discovered Tuesday, included broken side and door windows. Inside, drywall had been removed, police said.

Apartment entered: Amber Gibson of Central Avenue told Washington police Tuesday her former apartment at 214 ½ Linn Ave. had been entered. She said she was in the process of moving out, and her children had gone back to retrieve an item when they found three people and a dog inside the apartment. The children ran away. Gibson returned to find the apartment in disarray, with rotted garbage and other damage. Police have a suspect.

Game player, TV stolen: Corey Talley of 39 N. Main St. told Washington police Tuesday his Xbox, 10 games and a 48-inch television were stolen from 70 E. Chestnut St.
