The Renaissance City Choirs of Pittsburgh will present a musical performance, “Freedom,” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 14 at The Center on Strawberry, 59 E. Strawberry Ave, Washington.

The RCC will perform songs that encourage people to stand up for their values and for the respect of all people, from South African freedom songs to American civil rights protest songs and spirituals to contemporary songs that call for compassion and unity.

Proceeds will benefit the Washington County Gay Straight Alliance Inc. and the Renaissance City Choir.

Tickets are available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3061885 or at the door. Cost is $25 for adults and $10 for students.

Ticket holders are invited to stay for a reception after the concert to meet the performers.

WCGSA has facilitated a peer group for LGBTQA youth and provided resources, programming and social opportunities to the community since 2005.
