Commissioners should lower Clean and Green rates
If Washington County commissioners Larry Maggi, Diana Irey Vaughan and Harlan Shober want to help out on these outrageous tax increases many of their constituents are experiencing, especially our hard-working area farmers, then why haven’t they called an emergency meeting to vote upon lowering the Clean and Green rates sent to them from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture?
They are legally allowed to lower those rates. They just can’t legally raise the rates they are given. Why are they using the highest rates they are allowed to under law?
