Angeline Stack Weir
Angeline Stack Weir, 90, of Houston, died Monday, April 29, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
She was born October 31, 1922, in Mont Clair, W.Va., a daughter of the late Joseph and Thelma Bruno Courie.
Mrs. Weir worked in the cafeteria of Chartiers-Houston High School and the dietary department of Canonsburg General Hospital.
She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Canonsburg.
Mrs. Weir loved to read, cook and bake. When she was able, she enjoyed going to Canonsburg Senior Citizens Center.
Married twice, her first husband, John Stack, died in August 1962. In 1974, she married her second husband, Thomas Weir, who died in December 1999.
Surviving are two sons, John Stack of Canonsburg and Kenneth Stack (Ruth) of Chartiers Township; four grandchildren, Lisa Kruger (Colin), John Stack (Maureen), Nicole Lane (Kevin) and Darrin Stack (Beth); nine great-grandchildren, Meghan and Paige Kruger, Cameron and Madeline Stack, Nina and Aidan Lane and Mallorey, Bridget and Carter Stack; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, Robert Stack; a brother, Sam Courie; and a sister, Carmella Spatafore.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15432. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 2, in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
