For the sixth consecutive year, the Uniontown Art Club will hold its Regional Juried Fine Art and Craft Exhibition and Sale at Touchstone Center for Crafts in Farmington beginning May 26.

Since 1927, this club has been an active supporter of the visual arts in the region. Always mentoring and fostering young artists, this year it is accepting their entries as equals.

The show will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through June 2 and is open to artists high school age or older. All works must be for sale, be original and have been completed in the last three years. Deadline for entries is April 30. A prospectus and entry form can be downloaded at www.uniontownartclub.weebly.com or by calling 724-550-7119.

The event opens May 25 in the Bea Campbell Gallery in the Blaney Lodge on campus with a reception from 5 to 9 p.m. Awards will be presented at 7 p.m. Total cash prizes will be given up to $1,300, with youth scholarships for Touchstone up to $500 in value. This year, the art juror is Loretta Radeschi, a writer and award-winning artist in fiber. She is scheduled to teach Mixed Media Basketry at Touchstone this summer.

Nancy McChesney, past president and board member, said, “Patrons can expect the same quality work from some of our finest artists and craftsmen in the region. We are reaching ever wider for fresh, original entries in all mediums. Paint, clay, photography, glass, textiles, mixed media … we love them all.”
