Bonnie G. Truffa Connors, 72, of Monongahela, died Monday, April 8, 2013, in Monongahela Valley Hospital.
Born September 27, 1940, in New Eagle, she was a daughter of the late Ernest “Banjo” and Vincenza “Vee” Suppo Truffa-Magiske.
Ms. Connors had worked at various grocery stores over the years, and, after raising her family, she began working for the Bethel Park Foodland, where she retired in 2003 as a manager.
A 1958 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, she was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish (Transfiguration Church) in Monongahela.
Ms. Connors enjoyed watching the Steelers and playing cards with her friends, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Donna L. and Aaron J. Vaccari of Monongahela; a brother Ernest Jr. and wife Joyce Truffa of Canonsburg; a sister, Joyce and husband Alex DeRosa of Erie; a stepbrother, David and wife Linda Magiske of Forward Township; three grandchildren, Christopher, Elysia, and Connor Vaccari; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her stepfather, Michael Magiske; a stepbrother, Dwayne Magiske; and a sister-in-law, Norma June Truffa.
Friends will be received in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral prayers will begin in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, followed at 11:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Transfiguration Church, with Father William Terza as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
