California Borough has new garbage hauler

Effective immediately, County Hauling is the new garbage pickup service in California Borough.
Residential cost will be $37.50, payable quarterly, and billing will be handled by the new hauler. All homes and rental properties are required to have a solid waste account.
Garbage pickup will now be on Monday mornings, so trash should be set out on Sunday evenings. General recycling will be collected on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. A new recycling container will be dropped off for each account shortly. If a resident has any trash pickup issues, he or she can call County Hauling at 724-929-7694.
Business, commercial or other customers requiring dumpsters should contact County Hauling to discuss rates and arrange dumpster service.
The borough will continue to pick up electronic recycling on the first Friday of each month, provided residents call 724-938-8878 to schedule the electronics pickups in advance.
