CANONSBURG
Account accessed: Lucas Beacher of Canonsburg told Canonsburg police Monday his personal information was used to open a Bank of America account and purchase a Lexus for more than $83,000 in Cherry Hill, N.J. He said his information also was used to get an insurance policy for the vehicle from Progressive Insurance.
DONEGAL
Drug charges: Troy Marvin Cole Jr., 27, of Pittsburgh, was charged Tuesday by state police with possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin after police said he was found with three bricks of the suspected drug in his vehicle during a traffic stop on Interstate 70 eastbound near the Claysville exit in Donegal Township. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Ethan Ward.
MONESSEN
Man wanted: Jalen Cameron Madison, 24, of 109 Linden Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with simple assault, harassment and trespassing, court records show. Madison is accused of repeatedly punching Mark Benyak, a bartender at Kopko’s Bar and Grill, 1101 Leeds Ave., about 12:50 a.m. Saturday. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Tuesday for Madison’s arrest.
NORTH STRABANE
Hit-and-run crash: A vehicle traveling north in the southbound lanes of Interstate 79 between the Houston and Racetrack Road exits struck two tractor-trailers early Wednesday, state police said. The vehicle hit a rig driven by David Churney, 37, of Rochester, and then one driven by William Clayton, 68, of Ellwood City, before leaving the scene.

Teen charged: Nash Martin Meyers, 18, of 150 McVey St., Sturgeon, was charged this week by Smith police with minor driving under the influence of alcohol, minor prohibited from driving with alcohol in his system, careless driving, reckless driving, underage drinking and a stop sign violation. Police said, on Sunday, they saw Meyers go through a stop sign, stop in the middle of an intersection on Grant Street and then speed off, causing his vehicle to spin 180 degrees. Police said they questioned him, and his responses made no sense. A test showed his blood-alcohol content was 10 times the 0.02 percent limit for those younger than 21, according to police. Charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Gary Havelka.
WASHINGTON
Quick-change scam: A manager at BP, 1300 Jefferson Ave., told Washington police Tuesday a woman scammed an employee earlier this month with a quick-change scheme. She reportedly told the employee she did not receive the proper change for a $50 bill and was given an additional $20 bill.
