Jane Allene Carroll Moore, 72, of Avella, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones, following a battle with cancer.
She was born March 26, 1945, in Waynesburg, a daughter of the late Robert “Bob” Carroll and Cora Marie Ross.
Mrs. Moore graduated from Waynesburg High School in 1963. Following high school, she attended Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. She had a wonderful cosmetology career, which included owning her own salon. In addition, she also enjoyed her work in the beauty salon at Humbert Lane Nursing Home.
She loved to golf and bowl and enjoyed various card clubs. She was known for her pepperoni rolls, homemade noodles and hard tack candy, which she loved to give away.
On September 1, 1979, she married Robert “Larry” Moore, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Deanna (Chance) Georgetti, and a son, Joseph “JC” (Lyndsey) Moore, both of Avella; three stepchildren, Larry (Tammy) Moore of Washington, Corrina (the late Kevin) Kelly of Washington and Lance Moore of Ohio; a brother, John (Donna) Carroll of Pittsburgh; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Deceased is a brother, James “Jimmy” Carroll.
A private memorial service will be held at a later day.
