CANONSBURG
Items stolen: Erik Metzger of Euclid Avenue told Washington police Thursday that a global-positioning system and checkbook were stolen from his unlocked vehicle.
CARROLL
DUI alleged in crash: Richard L. Charlton, 44, of 1372 Fourth St., Carroll Township, is charged by Carroll police with driving under the influence of alcohol, causing an accident involving damage to attended property and driving with a DUI-suspended license, court records show. Police accuse Charlton of swerving into the oncoming lane, where his vehicle sideswiped another vehicle at Fourth Street Extension and Maple Avenue about 3:15 a.m. Jan. 7. Monongahela police said they found Charlton’s damaged vehicle in his nearby driveway. Police filed the charges Wednesday at the office of District Judge Larry Hopkins.
CHARTIERS
Hit-and-run crash: Chartiers police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened about 5 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Barnickle and Elm streets. Police said a silver Chevrolet Impala was going north when it went off the road and hit a utility pole. The driver fled on foot.
MONESSEN
Charge filed: Alice M. Horrell, 46, of 610 Speer St., North Belle Vernon, is charged by city police with escape over allegations she fled from Mon Valley Hospital while being detained there on a warrant about 6:50 p.m. Jan. 26, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Wednesday for Horrell’s arrest.
MT. PLEASANT
Brothers charged: Lee Joseph Romanetti, 41, and Timothy Scott Romanetti Sr., 39, both of 204 Agape Road, Hickory, were charged this week by Mt. Pleasant police stemming from a Jan. 25 confrontation at their home. Timothy Romanetti is charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct for allegedly threatening his brother and nephew. He also is accused knocking his brother to the ground and kicking him. Lee Romanetti is charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct for allegedly throwing his brother to the ground and punching him. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.
NORTH STRABANE
Theft charge: Christopher L. Paxon, 33, of Monroeville, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Jay Weller on a charge of theft filed by North Strabane police after he allegedly stole a tip jar from Sweet Hut, Park Place, on Oct. 27. He was released on his own recognizance.
Three-vehicle crash: Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of McClelland Road and Weaver Lane. North Strabane police said a vehicle driven by Kathryn M. Celedonia, 50, of Pittsburgh, struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Jeffrey R. Moser, 55, of William Drive, Canonsburg. Police said Celedonia then turned into oncoming traffic, striking a vehicle driven by Melvin Conklin, 70, of Richland Avenue, Canonsburg. Conklin was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Celedonia refused treatment for a hand injury.
SOUTH STRABANE
Conspiracy, theft arrest: Corinne Harshey, 53, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Jay Weller on three counts of theft and one count of conspiracy. State police filed the charges after she allegedly stole a debit card and jewelry from another woman while the two were staying at Motel 6, South Strabane, in March 2015. She was released from Washington County Jail after posting $7,500 bond.
WASHINGTON
Vehicle taken: James Mayer of Waynesburg told Washington police early Thursday that a 24-year-old Houston woman failed to return his 1997 Mercury Mountaineer. She reportedly told Mayer that she would return it in 20 minutes.
Assault charge: City police charged Michael Martin, 35, of Philadelphia with aggravated assault last week. Martin, who is being held in Washington County Jail on other charges, allegedly struck jail guard Bernard Miller Jr. in the face on April 15, 2017. Martin was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Robert Redlinger, who set bond at $25,000.
Drug charge: Erik M. Allen, 26, whose last known address was on Brookside Avenue, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on a charge he sold heroin to a confidential informant during a controlled buy on March 29, 2016. State police filed the charge June 7. Court records show he is being held in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond set by Redlinger.
Assault charge: Justice Walden, 22, no address given, was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on a charge of aggravated assault. City police filed the charge Jan. 17, alleging Walden had stabbed his brother multiple times outside DeAngelo Funeral Home on Jefferson Avenue. Walden’s brother reportedly required treatment at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. Walden is being held in Washington County Jail on $100,000 bond set by Redlinger.
Man jailed: Joshua B. Edwards, 41, of Woodland Avenue was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of aggravated assault and simple assault. The charges stem from an allegation by Edwards’ girlfriend that he slapped her in the face and grabbed her by the hair, slamming her head against a cement porch wall multiple times following an argument. Edwards is being held in Washington County Jail on $10,000 bond set by Redlinger.
Woman charged: Tiffany Courtley, 37, of Lower Crest Avenue, Charleroi, was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger Thursday on a charge of attempting to provide drug-free urine. She allegedly admitted to probation officers that she’d been using cocaine and drinking alcohol. She is being held in the county jail on $5,000 bond set by Redlinger.
Woman jailed: Ashley T. Angott, 26, of Ewing Street was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Robert Redlinger on charges of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and drug possession. A Washington County sheriff’s deputy filed charges Jan. 23, a day after he said in court papers that he and a colleague found 70 bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl in a pocketbook while serving a bench warrant at Angott’s home. Angott was placed in Washington County Jail on $50,000 bond.
Charge filed: Tiffany N. Ryan, 42, whose address is listed as the Washington County Jail, was charged Jan. 18 with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. State police allege she sold heroin to a confidential informant on April 25, 2017. She was arraigned Thursday before District Judge Robert Redlinger, who set her bond at $25,000.

Chain saw stolen: A wooden cargo box in the bed of a state Game Commission truck was pried open and a Husqvarna chain saw was stolen while the vehicle was parked at the state gamelands at the intersection of Longstreath and Good Intent roads Sunday, state police said.
