Theresa Shearson Lukan, 97, of Bulger, died Friday, April 26, 2013, in Humbert Lane Nursing Home, South Strabane Township.
Mrs. Lukan was born March 31, 1916, in Bulger, a daughter of the late John and Helen Poulenko Shearson.
She was a member of St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church and a member of Midway SNPJ, where she was one of the “fish ladies.” She was also a member of the ladies auxiliary of SNPJ and St. Ann’s Christian Mothers.
Surviving are a daughter, Norma (Ronald) Lira of Bulger; a son-in-law, John Bacu of McDonald; grandchildren Nancy Wingertsahn, Pamela (Scott) Plance and David and Kevin Lira; great-grandchildren Philip Wingertsahn, Maria (David) Kelly and David, Meagen, Tyler and Cal Lira; and a great-great-grandson, Laine Kelly.
Preceding her in death are her husband, Frank Lukan in 1991; a son, Richard Lukan; and a daughter, Linda Bacu; brothers and sisters, John, Mike, Andy, Steve and Charles Shearson, Helen Taptich, Anna Taptich, Mary Prebeg and Julia Holden.
