CANTON
Theft, receiving arrest: Joshua Lee Church, 31, of 1213 Wilna St., Washington, was arraigned Tuesday by District Judge Joshua Kanalis on charges of theft, receiving stolen property, theft from a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He is accused of stealing a white Ford F-350 pickup truck owned by Guardian OFS LLS from the Jessop Place park ‘n’ ride Sunday. He and another man, identified as his cousin, allegedly took the truck to a gas station off the Taylorstown exit of Interstate 70, parked the truck and fled into the woods after learning police were on their way. Church allegedly admitted to stealing the truck. He was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
DONORA
Assault alleged: Dedra Marie Grant, 34, of 600 McKean Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with making terroristic threats, simple assault, criminal mischief and harassment, court records show. Police accuse Grant of striking Shannel Dessell several times in the head, breaking her cellphone and eyeglasses, and threatening to kill her while aboard a Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority bus at Sixth Street and McKean Avenue about 1 p.m. Feb. 8, court records show. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges in a summons Tuesday.
Man charged: Jacob Stephen Gherardini, 21, of 406 Victoria St., Washington Township, Fayette County, is charged by borough police with making terroristic threats, harassment and disorderly conduct, court records show. Police accuse him of posting a video on social media of him shooting two holes into a photograph of his ex-girlfriend and then leaving the image on her porch in the 100 block of Kenric Avenue about 5:20 p.m. Feb. 10. District Judge Larry Hopkins issued the charges Tuesday in a summons.
MONESSEN
Drug arrest: Hunter S. Telegraphis, 19, of 1106 Athalia Ave., Monessen, is charged by city police with drug possession with intent to deliver, marijuana possession, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from a traffic stop about 12:20 a.m. Feb. 15 at Rebecca Street and Indiana Avenue, court records show. Police claim to have seized 34.5 grams of marijuana and $657 from him during the incident. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso signed a warrant Friday for Telegraphis’ arrest.
ROSTRAVER
Woman jailed: Lauren Elizabeth Dumm, 29, of 706 Crest Ave., Charleroi, is charged by township police with possessing heroin paraphernalia and tampering with evidence over allegations she tried to hide a syringe while being detained at the Rostraver police station about 7:30 p.m. Sunday, court records show. Police sent her to Westmoreland County Jail on bench warrants.
Theft alleged: Jason C. Carr, 37, of 544 Bertram St., Monongahela, is charged by township police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he returned stolen merchandise to Walmart, 100 Sara Way, in exchange for a gift card valued at $263 about noon Jan. 12, court records show. District Judge Joseph Dalfonso issued the charges by summons Tuesday.
