Mary E. Clemens, 76, of Washington, died Friday, February 9, 2018, in The Grove at Washington.

She was born September 20, 1941, in Washington, a daughter of the late Amos and Audrey Belcher Behanna.

Mrs. Clemens was a graduate of Trinity High School and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed camping, playing bingo and spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

On March 29, 1963, she married James E. Clemens, who died September 15, 2011.

Surviving are three children, Jamie (Ken) Wetzel of West Finley, Jay Clemens of Washington and Jon W. (Gretchen) Clemens of Lady Lake, Fla.; a sister, Henrietta (Bill) Powell of Scenery Hill; five grandchildren, April (Herb) Crouse, Jared Clemens, Jaelyn Wetzel, Emily Clemens and Delana Clemens; and three great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a grandson, Chris Wetzel; a special nephew, Mel Arthur; and two brothers, Andrew “Bud” and Joe Behanna.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation. Arrangements are entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., Washington.
