Patricia A. Saunders Harris, 65, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018, following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 2, 1953, in Washington, a daughter of the late Randall and Grace Saunders.
Ms. Harris was a 1971 graduate of Washington High School. She also graduated from Greene County Vo-Tech as an licensed practical nurse. Often affectionately called a “professional student,” she attended multiple other schools and classes.
She retired from Pittsburgh Public Schools in 2011.
Ms. Harris was a member of Central Baptist Church, Pittsburgh, where she served on the Neil Isenhour usher board.
While she lived a full life and really enjoyed all social engagements, her favorite pastimes included spending time with her grandchildren and watching “The Young and the Restless” and the news.
Surviving are a daughter, Aimee Harris of Houston; a son, Kenneth Harris (Traci) of Pittsburgh; five grandchildren, Abrianna, Joaquima, Tucker, Kenneth Jr. and Kenaci; a great-grandson, Jaiden; several nieces and nephews; and many special cousins and friends.
She also had a great-granddaughter on the way, Kahari.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Saturday, March 24, in Friendship Baptist Church, 17 East Walnut Street, Washington. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
