Sons and Daughters of Italy scholarship available
The Sons and Daughters of Italy, PRIMO Italiano Lodge 2800, Washington, will again conduct a $1,500 scholarship competition, open to seniors of the Class of 2018 from McGuffey, Trinity and Washington high schools.
Applicants must be of at least 25 percent Italian-American descent (one parent at least half Italian), attending a post-secondary school, and submit a personal essay (minimum 250 words) on “Describe how you and your family celebrate, honor or incorporate into your daily lives your Italian-American heritage, customs and traditions.”
Interested seniors should visit their school counselors for further information. Essays must be turned in to the school guidance office by April 2.
