Michelle Ann Krek
Michelle Ann “Mikie” Krek of Cecil Township, formerly of South Fayette, died tragically along with her baby boy, Logan, Wednesday, March 28, 2018.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents Grace and Michael Gima and paternal grandparents, Steve and Mary Krek.
She is survived by her parents, Butch and Bernadette “Bernie” Gima Krek; brother Butch “Bue” Krek; and sister Danielle “Danni” Krek (Jason Sarver).
Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved dogs, Penny and Josie.
Michelle was a 2001 graduate of South Fayette and received her master’s degree from Robert Morris University. She was employed for nearly 12 dedicated years at Tigg Corp. as a sales service manager for carbon filtration systems and prior worked for many years at BP.
“Mikie” was truly one of a kind and the anchor to her family. She was a beautiful person inside and out, funny, one of the kindest souls with a heart of gold, loyal and would do absolutely anything for anyone. Both compassionate and charismatic, she would just light up any room she was in. She was beyond excited to be a mom to her baby boy, Logan. May they be in heaven with the dear grace, and may her light continue to shine on her loved ones. She will forever be missed and loved by everyone whose heart she touched.
Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Warchol Funeral Home Inc., 3060 Washington Pike, Bridgeville, 412-221-3333. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 5, in St. Barbara Church, 45 Prestley Road, Bridgeville. Guests are asked to meet at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family to offset the costs they have incurred due to this tragedy.
