Larry Kirkland, 56, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 15, 2018.
He was the beloved son of the late Eileen and Kenneth Kirkland; loving husband of Amy Durbin Kirkland; doting stepfather of Nicole (Josh) Harshall and Jessica Johnston; adored grandfather of Joshua, Gabriella, Anthony and Tessa; and cherished brother of Terrence Kirkland and Mary Kirkland (Dennis Ferlich).
Mr. Kirkland was preceded in death by half siblings Thomas Kirkland and Phyllis Soloman and brother Gary Kirkland.
He will be remembered as a fun-loving sports fan. He especially loved hockey and football. His favorite companions were his cats, Taz, Pootie and Whiskey. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time at home with family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. At the family’s request, all services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in Mr. Kirkland’s name to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224, or West Virginia University Children’s Hospital, 1 Medical Center Drive, Morgantown, WV 26506.
