CANONSBURG

Harassment: A Canonsburg woman reported to Canonsburg police her ex-boyfriend pushed her down and broke her phone Thursday night. Police said the incident happened about 10:43 p.m., while the woman was at his residence in the 500 block of McNary Street. Police said she was there to get her things following their breakup. Police said they intend to file harassment and criminal mischief charges.

Theft: A Blaine Avenue resident reported to Canonsburg police her son stole several of her checks, three of which totaled $370. Police are investigating, and charges have not been filed.

VENETIA

Theft charge: Michael Joseph Doody, 23, of Pittsburgh, was charged by Peters Township police with theft after he allegedly took several items from a residence in January. Police said Doody took a radio, saw and battery from a residence in the 400 block of Bower Hill Road. Police said he then sold two of the items for $80. Doody was arraigned Thursday morning before District Judge Jesse Pettit and released on an unsecured bond.

WASHINGTON

Child custody charge: Jerrae M. Colbert, 30, of 580 Deleware Ave., Washington, was charged by Washington police with interference with custody of children after he allegedly refused to return an 18-month-old child to its mother Thursday night. Police said the mother, who has custody, was outside Colbert’s residence, where the child was. She allegedly requested Colbert, who is not the child’s father, give the child back to her. Police said Colbert refused, turned out the lights and tried to hide from police, who eventually forced their way into the house and arrested Colbert. Colbert was arraigned Thursday night by District Judge Jesse Pettit and put in jail on $5,000 bond.

Drug arrest: Micah J. Pierce, 44, of 384 ½ Tyler Ave., Washington, was jailed after a search warrant was served at his residence Friday morning by the Washington County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, Washington Regional SWAT and a K-9 unit from Washington city police. According to District Attorney Eugene Vittone, a long-term investigation led detectives to Pierce’s residence, where they seized more than five ounces of cocaine, nearly 800 stamp bags of heroin, a large sum of cash and drug paraphernalia. Pierce was charged with two counts each of manufacturing with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance, and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned Friday morning by District Judge Ethan Ward and jailed on $500,000 bond.
